Churches without hold Charity over...

I have said it many times before, I will keep repeating it.  Part of your "duty" to any deity you may or may not worship is charity.  Some call it being a decent human being, others call it just being nice.  Call it what you will, there is some major issues with the Christian community.

So why am I upset this time.  Christians in Kentucky decided to hold up their charity to a bunch of children, until reverted to a policy of harassment and discrimination of gay people.  +Larry Dillon, I know you will have something to add to this.  But in the meantime, that is really nasty people.  Politics aside, how you feel about gay people aside, you are really going to stand behind a religion that would allow children to starve or be homeless to get your way, which will in turn cause children to starve, and other children who are in dire need of someplace safe to live to go without.

That is some sick stuff there.  I'm not sorry for this, but that is just sick.  To cause children to suffer because you dislike the actions of others, is just sick.  It violates every fiber of my being.  Its one thing to spew your nonsense against the gays in our nation, to treat them like second or third class citizens, but to take it out on children?  Really?!?  What is wrong with those people, and if you support that, what is wrong with you?

Those kids did not ask to be born into crappy homes.  They did not ask for abusive or neglectful parents.  They need to be sheltered and protected from people like that.  Then again, I guess most christians are only concerned about a child before it is born.  Is that it?  It only has rights to be protected until its born, then it is a pawn in twisted little games?
“Now that our churches have confidence in the leadership of Sunrise and the direction of Sunrise, we’ll give them the opportunity to re-invest in this ministry to children,” Kentucky Baptist Convention Executive Director Paul Chitwood told WDRB.
Really?  Was it that Sunrise Children's Services was about to stop discriminating against gay people, or is it that you are afraid that Christianity might not be the top dog in Kentucky anymore?  Maybe it is the fact that you won't be able to influence young minds anymore.  I think that is the problem, you were afraid that once gay people were allowed in, that Christianity would get the old heave hoe, right out the back door into the gutter.

But guess what?  Because of your crap, that company, which has existed since just after the Civil War, might loose over 80% of its funding.  Brilliant idea.  Maybe it falls in line with your less government, and you really don't care, but I am going to tell you all something, you should care!  These children will eventually grow up.  If they are not squared away by the time they are 18 and out of the juvenile system, they are going to be some very damaged adults, and because of their background, it might be your son or daughters they catch up with.  It might be you, while they are looking for their next hillbilly fix.  But hey, its alright as long as groups like Sunrise Children's Services discriminate against gay people, right?
