I was in the processes of preparing for an entry dealing with Christianity the Death Cult, when something crossed my eyes, that I had to get into.
It has become more evident that as more abortions are performed, and the "gays" get rights that the Christians feel more persecuted. I would call a whambulance, but lets face it, they are all filled up with people who a legitimate reason to use them.
So, I laugh, and revel in joy as the Christians of Houston Texas squirm, scream and howl Bloody Mary.. It warms my heart to see them complain about religious freedoms being taken away, without fully understanding what is actually happening. So, what hath happened to send waves of paranoid persecution through the Christians of the burgh of Houston.
Their preachers were subpoenaed to turn over all "speeches, presentations, or sermons related to HERO (an
anti-discrimination ordinance), the Petition, Mayor Annise Parker,
homosexuality, or gender identity prepared by, delivered by, revised by,
or approved by you or in your possession.” Yes, it is the beginning of the end for you all. No not really. You see, churches are not supposed to be meddling in the affairs of government, but you were, and you got caught at it, you sanctimonious little pricks.
You want to whine that because the preachers are not being sued that they shouldn't be subpoenaed, but guess what, in the real world, if you have information pertinent to a case, you get that little piece of paper. It wasn't because you were Christian, its because you were attempting to deprive others of rights, and got caught.
But their free speech.. Please, free speech isn't free it has limitations, and remember your pissant little churches are supposed to stay out of politics. But these people went where they were not supposed to tread, and now what to whine about getting called on it. So, when asked if I feared for my freedom of speech because of this, no. You know what I fear, some asinine religious nutbag deciding that my life with without value, or assigning what rights I as a human being can have, because I do not share your views, or your poor excuse for a code of morals.
See when you decide that gays cannot get married, that is what you are doing. You are assigning what rights they as humans can have. And since you do not want to allow them to have rights, specifically in this case, the right of transgender people to use a bathroom, or otherwise discriminate against LTGB individuals.
So this is how you are currently looking. You look like you are being paranoid assholes because your preachers are being called out on being political from the pulpit, in order to preach and have you sign petitions to legally discriminate against a group of people whom you dislike, or openly hate. Does that about cover it? Speaking of which... Only a few churches were subpoenaed, and they were all the ones that sued the city over said ordinance that prohibits discrimination of LTGB individuals.
It is only fair. When you sue, everything in the public domain gets brought up, and everything that is potentially relevant to the case in private gets brought up. Deal with it.
