Labor Day

Ah yes, Labor Day.  A day of grilling out, maybe sitting on a beach somewhere, holding a bottle of beer, maybe a glass of wine, you might even be taking in the sounds of your local baseball team, or sitting in the comfort of your home watching something else.  For we NASCAR fans we watched a brilliant runs by Kasey Kahne and Danica Patrick's highest career finish (also that is a record of sorts on its own account), of which I am happy for his win, and Ms. Patrick showing that women indeed can compete in stock car racing.  But let us speak of a bygone era, the history of Labor Day, and why we should celebrate it.
