What happened to?

Ah Gandhi, a very wise man, decades before his time, well, even today I do not see the man fitting in.  A nonconformist of the highest, and most exalted level.  I am not a christian, I do not really know much of the New Testament, and well, I was always under the impression that the quote there, from Gandhi, was in that text.

Church Fleeces Elderly, and Molests Children Combined

This is something that I have been sitting on for a while now.  More information about this will follow shortly, but for the time being this is the beginning of the story.  I posted this once a while back, but it was broken into two parts, now it is combined since the first time it was written.  It is as it originally appeared, and here, will be the only alteration, the time frame has increased from 18 months to around 20 months in a tent, with an additional month floating from place to place.  Imagine spending two Christmases, two Thanksgivings, two of every major holidays and birthdays in a tent or otherwise homeless.

The Chruch What!?!

As some of you know I am assisting a charity that deals with an elderly couple who were fleeced over by the Church of God.  You will often here me tell people that this "religious organization" has threatened the family repeatedly, going as far as to play a role in getting their one safety net (their youngest son) fired from his job.  Long story short some member of that organization threatened one of his co-workers and it went sideways, and I am sure you can all figure out where it went.

So yesterday morning the Richardson family awoke to a slight issue with their tent.  Over the previous week the weather had been cold, cold enough to freeze the water line.  It then warmed up slightly as the rainfall started peppering the tent, and all was well, until they woke up, and found the tent flooded.  Thinking that they had water rolling off the roof then under the tent they attempted to dry the water up, until they stepped outside and heard water running.

            The family, unlike others, and myself do not want to sue the church; everyone suffers in that scenario except those who told the parents to do this work.  It is not fair to the congregation to suffer for the actions of their leaders; the members of the congregation may or may not have been aware of what was happening.  I met the son and wife as they were attempting to shame the Church of God into repaying the money this man fleeced from the parents, and the only progress they have made is as follows:
