So, here I
sit debating with myself, do I want to start another go fund me fund
drive, to do those things I desperately need help with, you know,
getting a new pair of boots for work (I need black boots), black
socks, plain white shirts, a black belt, car, and insurance... Or do
I avoid it because of people who abuse the system.

Hypocrisy abounds
I am the type of person who really
tries to be live and let live. I really don't want to be the guy who
points out the stupidity exhibited by others. Ideally, nobody would
need to be standing in the background imitating Dr. Gregory House,
silently saying or outright screaming “You idiot.” But the world
is not such a place, and you know, I can kinda understand how the
character felt constantly. Hey, you're anti-vax because... You're
an idiot, not only that, I have to wonder is it on purpose, or is
your ignorance just something you cannot control. Normally, I find
it to be the hard core conservatives that I want to do this with, but
right now I am an equal opportunity offender, I am that way with
Clinton Democrats.

Oh hey, its our old enemy again
Eh,
in other news, the kkk is getting its very own television show on
A&E. I have never been a fan of reality television, and yeah,
this just re-enforces my disdain for most things called “reality”.
So, some people are freaking out about this, I'm just scratching my
head. This thing has been on the stove cooking for over a year,
which is how it works. What, don't tell me you really thought that a
new show starting in January was being filmed right now? I am not a
Hollywood regular, but lets be honest, it takes time, a lot of time
to film, edit, and produce a show of any nature, reality television
is a little simpler because, as I understand it, they don't spend
nearly as much time re-shooting scenes because of errors.

Its over... Prepare now.
So, its all
done, the election is in the books. Clinton lost, the Electoral
College did not sweep in and save the day. There were more faithless
electors in this presidential election than there have been in many,
many years. Two refused to vote for Trump, that was in Texas of all
places, four refused to vote for Clinton, the rest were replaced,
until they found electors willing to vote for the candidate they were
assigned.

Nothing Changed, Nothing Learned
Ah, so the Russians intentionally
influenced our Presidential election... Oh my. So, now liberals are
pissed off because the dirty commie Russians are meddling in our
elections. I find it funny, myself personally, because many of those
liberals who are now angry about outside influence tinkering with our
election were oddly silent when this crap happened in the primaries.

NODAPL
I didn't want to get into it. Wanted
to just give some support, some likes and shares on Facebook, but I
wanted to keep my thoughts about it to myself. Congratulations, law
enforcement and government officials in Standing Rock, you have well
surpassed the line on acceptable behavior. You have finally, after
all the crap being pulled on protesters, you have finally crossed the
lowest line I have ever seen crossed in the US, that didn't result in
fatalities. Oh and the media, you people, heh... Why are you in the
media being so quiet?

Burying the Hatchet. Not right now we won't.
I have noticed a prevailing trend as of
late, something in the wind starting to gather some steam. Some
liberals are starting to say that liberals in general need to
reconcile over the events of the last several decades, well more
specifically the primary and election season that just ended. Hey,
this is pretty good. The same group that told Sanders supporters to
get over the primary, and due their duty are now crying that we must
bury the hatchet, after months of insults, and being bullied, we must
get over it all in the blink of an eye and we must bury the hatchet.

Dead Eyes revisited
I know, I know. I really haven't been
around as much as I should since my Dad passed away. Years of being
homeless, his death, struggling to survive, and just trying to get
the ship righted has left me dealing with a lot of issues. Yeah,
there have been a lot of helping hands, a lot of well wishes, people
who would give until they had nothing left, but they have nothing to
give. Yet even as I write this, even as I look back at the carnage
of the last decade, I don't see it getting better.
Autopsy - Down Ballot Races
I didn't really want to get into this, but I have to. You see,
any autopsy of the Clinton campaign is bound to discuss why the
Democratic Party didn't have a good grasp on the Senate, and test the
House. That was after all a major push for those who wouldn't vote
for Clinton, the desire to see at least the Senate or the House come
under Democratic Party control. Well, not the House, that is pretty
much lost until 2020, but there was a strong push to weaken the GOP
control over it.

Autopsy - The Blame Game
This is a rather difficult aspect of the Clinton Campaign autopsy to get into. This difficulty is not based on anything more than the sheer number of scapegoats that are being pointed at, while failing to acknowledge that there were always problems.

Autopsy - Current Summery
To be sure there will be more of these posts as things start to
settle down. People like me also have a ton of work to do, trying to
help people come to terms with Trump, and a GOP controlled
government, who will do all the things we stand against. Really, if
you think that Trump winning was the worst, let me tell you all
something, we have to fight tooth and nail, all of us to see that
things are not undone. If you want to place blame on people who
voted third party, or failed to vote, then you need to sit down and
really think about everything that happened in this election.

Autopsy - Moving Forward
The Democratic Party needs to start re-positioning itself, or
trends like this will continue. Clinton managed to pull out a lead
in the popular vote, yet she lost ground in several key states that
President Obama had flipped in 2012. The fact is, the Democratic
Party needs to find itself, and with a crop of potential candidates
moving forward, it is time to move forward and have a changing of the
guards. Rather than blame everyone else because they lost, you know
third party voters, the FBI, Russian hackers, the DNC needs to own
this, they need to realize that votes are not owed to their
candidate. They need to step back and really look at the final
picture of this election. They put forth, via super-delegates a
candidate that did not inspire people, who had problems getting a
hundred people gathered at a campaign stop. The top of the ticket
itself was a rehash of neo-liberal and friendly conservatism. The
choice to go with yet another neo-liberal at the top of the ticket
harmed the down ballot races. Creating a scenario where the GOP was
given control of the Senate, on top of the control they already had
within the House of Representatives.

Continued Autopsy - Atypical Election
Deep
under the surface of this election, it must be noted that this was an
atypical election cycle.

Autopsy Ideological Purity
Now, I have heard people complaining
about ideological purity tests, and that those in the progressive
wing of politics have taken way too far. Yet, they forget that we
came out for Obama, Kerry, and in part Gore over the last 16 years,
only to be soundly ignored by Obama.

Autopsy II, Likability and Trustworthiness
Continuing the trend of
trustworthiness and likability. Clinton has battled these issues
most of her career. Little half truths followed by “misstatements”
or lies. Trying to hide the truth of things that happened, or
comments made ultimately harmed her potential presidency more than
anything else.
Clinton Campaign Autopsy
This
is going to take several posts over the next week or so, to try and
explain all the ins and outs of how a candidate who appeared to have
complete control of the presidential election, completely flopped in
the final hours of voting across the nation.

The Deed is Done.
My part in this circus side show is
done. I walked to the polling place, I presented my photo ID, and I
cast my vote, little good I believe it will do.

Can't wait for this to end...
I cannot wait for Wednesday morning to
come. Its like Christmas, really it is, and I'm not even Christian.
Will Santa bring me the gifts I asked for in a poorly written letter,
or will I get a lump of coal. For what its worth, it is apt to be a
lump of coal, because Santa really is a prick (just look at the
historical characters he is based on).
Why Trump, Indeed.
So, at this
time, Trump is apparently gaining in the polls. Trump somehow
managed to win his parties primary while being openly racist, and
sexist. And people are scratching their heads as to why?

Why not Trump?
I have had a few people ask me why I
don't rip on Trump like I rip on Clinton over the last few weeks.

Fascism
I'm still breathing, if anyone is
curious... Since my self-imposed exile for mental wellness and
physical conditioning I have dropped about ten pounds that I could
spare, bad part is, I am bulking up. Managed to get off the soda
(pop) mostly. And well, I am starting to get my wits about me again.
As of now I am starting to find myself back on Facebook, and
arguing, as always, politics. I have some bad news for you all,
fascism has arrived in our land, and its looking pretty grim.

Clinton again
Okay, so
while I was doing, someone sent me a link to an article about leaked
audio from a Clinton donor party. Yay... Really, I have to vote in
this election? Because I'm telling you all right now, I am not
feeling it at all.

More of the same is bad... MMMKay?
Junior Gym rat reporting in from my
house, in my oh so comfy chair... Yeah, as you might have figured
out from my last post I am intending on getting myself back in shape
physically, and mentally. So, Facebook, Twitter, I am going to take
some time away, we should really see other people, but hey, its cool
if we hang out a bit when we run into each other. In the meantime, I
will be around, or try to post someone at least once a week until I
am right, then I should be back full time.

I need a car...
So, I am just going to drop a line here from my little... “Screw politics, screw everything leave of mental health evaluation and get right vacation” I am on.

Of all the things that get your attention...
So Colin
Kaepernick is in the news. Yeah, this happened a few days ago, and I
am just now getting around to it. So, is he in the news for some
kind of spectacular sporting achievement, nope. He is in the news
because he refused to stand during the national anthem at a preseason
football game. Oh lord the world is ending, and people are
completely loosing their marbles over it.

Jill Stein and Student Debt Forgiveness.
So one thing I keep getting told about
Jill Stein is that she wants to forgive all college debt. Hey, sign
me up for that, man oh man, not having $90,000 worth of debt hanging
over my head, killing my credit score, and at least a monthly phone
call asking about paying more on my repayment plan would be sweet.
It would mean that I could spend money elsewhere, like that awesome
little Italian place that has the best pizza and food in the
community, I'm sure they would love it if I went in there more than
once a month.

First World Problems in Third World America...
You want to do your civic duty. You go to the primary (or general election) and you vote. Then you find out your vote didn't really matter, the election was decided before the first primary.

Angry Yet?
I am going to say some things that are
going to make some of you very upset. Some of you will be happy
about this, but most of you, most of you are going to be very
unhappy. This is something you are going to need to hear, and you
are going to need it learn this lesson now, or you are going to
become very angry later. You are going to get your feelings hurt,
you aren't going to understand why things aren't improving, and
honestly, you are going to wonder why the next Bernie Sanders will
lose in their bid for the nomination of the DNC. Sorry, while the
DNC is in bad shape, nearly as bad of shape as the GOP, its not going
to go down for the count, right now anyway.
Tuesday, July 26, 2016
Short sweet and to the point.
I do not care if you like what you are about the read. I do not care if it offends thee. I have finally, finally reached a level where my anger is flaring inside of me. I am not a hot head, I do not allow anger to get the best of me, in most instances. Now however, now I will ascend to the top of the bully pulpit, and I will rage against an utterly broken and corrupted system, that you will now take part in willingly.

Not my Fault
So, as of today, the GOP convention is
on. In less than 12 days the DNC convention will be on. Last week
Sanders endorsed Clinton, tongue in cheek, literally, and Clinton
watched as her lead against Trump evaporated in several key states,
and in at least one national poll. As is par for her personal
course, her trustworthiness rating is somewhere near negative seventy
percent.

A Call to Political Arms
So, are you angry now? Are you hurt?
Bummed out? Do you feel like you were lied to, stabbed in the back?
Cause I am here with some words of wisdom, gleaned from years of
working security, and living life. Even the biggest pile of shit,
the largest lie starts somewhere, it has a kernel of truth somewhere
in the muck.

Clinton in the News Again
I have been purposely avoiding
blogging. I found the even with the whole trying to be humorous bit
getting a bit tiring. But at this point I feel compelled to crawl
out from under my rock, say what I have to say, then crawl back into
it. I am tired, I am tired of fighting with people who seem hellbent
and determined to vote for Clinton. I am tired of third way
Democratism, neo-liberal politics. I am tired of constant war, and
the daily grind of just trying to make ends meet, while we have more
death, and the destruction of sanity.

And there it is...
So, imagine my surprise when I got online and saw the media calling the primary for Ms. Clinton. Well, I wasn't all that surprised, it was barely a blip on the radar. Oh hey, that was a shocking article, oh my. I was actually more surprised when I read Kimbo Slice passed away (not a fan of his or MMA, but it was shocking given his young age).

First World Problems in Third World America
I have heard it said pizza is the food of the gods. Nope, pizza is too expensive. Ramen is the food of the gods. It is a poor mans Tofu. You can make anything from it.
Fear and Loathing in America
Going to take a few minutes to write about something I have seen happening in the good of US of A in the last sixteen years. That is a marked increase in fear, and loathing.

State of the Union
It is currently Mother's Day, sometime
around 0600 EDT, and I have just walked in the door from a visit to
the Emergency Room with my Mom. I was in a piss poor mood when I
went, and my mood has gotten even worse. I might not look like it,
but I have a very common trait with the likes of Trump when I become
extremely tired, which I am currently, and when I become extremely
agitated, which yeah, you guessed it, and that is the more agitated
and tired I become, the less my filter works. I am at the point that
I really don't give a shit about censoring myself, so, I am going to
post this later, but write it now and sleep on it.

So it begins...
In the wake of another Clinton loss,
this time in Wisconsin, Clinton is now taking the Sanders campaign
seriously. After allegations of voter suppression, a media blackout
of the Sanders campaign, buried debates, pandering, flip flopping
(she was for single payer, then against it, then for it again),
nearly constant disingenuous remarks, and condescending remarks,
Clinton is down to her finally options, disqualify and defeat
Sanders, party unity be damned, we will unify the party later.

This is going to be a very short entry. Just a few questions, and I would love to have answers, I need answers.

In The News
Ah, its been a while again, live
happens, just like in the movie Forrest Gump. To be honest, it has
been a busy week for politics... Scandals, rumors, back stabbing,
end arounds, and the like have all dominated the news. There has
been a ton of fun, and not everyone is feeling it.

Bern or Bust!
I wanted to take a moment to talk about
the Bern or Bust membership to talk about why I do not see Clinton as
being the next best option to a Sanders Presidency. Some of this I
have spoken about a handful of times, some of it I haven't.
Honestly, it is not something I like discussing, its painful, it
causes old wounds to ache. If I was an amnesic I wonder if I would
want to seek out those memories, or if I would be all the better to
not know. Why I am in the Bern or Bust crowd... I'm tired. I am a
tired, angry, and frustrated liberal, who is only “a dirty
socialist” because the whole nation went right on me. I actually
started this little journey of mine as a moderate, who went slightly
liberal before the insanity known as the tea party took over. On all
those political spectrum tests, I now reside left and down of
Gandhi... Basically a Social Libertarian (or liberal libertarian),
who knew?

Revolution Expanded
I want to take the time to expand on
something I tossed into a post the other day, that is about a
political revolution. While I think that I was fairly clear about
things, I just want to expand on the subject, because some people
simply won't understand, and honestly, I want this spelled out like
my reasons for not wanting to vote for Clinton.

Clinton on my Mind
So, the other day while I was online I
came across a post in a Facebook group, and I found it amusing, and
gave my typical flippant comment directed at the original poster.
“Give me what I want and I'll go away.” But now that I think
about it, and since it was deleted by the poster or an admin, I have
become more angered by it. I would have loved to have given a
picture of that post to illustrate my point, but its gone, and the
memory remains.

Accelerationism
I am an “accelerationist”. It is a
newer term from what I understand of it, one in which people like me
are willing to completely fire sale our elections in order to create
the situation where things are so dire, that people are forced to
reevaluate their positions. We are a dangerous lot, you see, we have
a candidate we like, we are showing up to vote for the man, and
should he fail to make the cut we will sit back idle. You see, we
are playing long ball, a phrase a friend uses.
Thursday, February 11, 2016
Free Stuff for the Dumb
I do not want “free stuff”, I
honestly do not know of any Sanders supporter who just wants to be
given anything, despite the claim. We want stuff, like the rest of
the world, but we also accept that nothing in life is free,
everything costs money. But there is one thing that we want that is
free, a chance. A chance to start our adult life free of debt, the
ability to earn money, to own a home, live the American Dream. We
want a life where we aren't burdened by student loan debt, just to
get into an entry level job, or a job that requires slaving away for
barely enough to keep food on the table.
Bernie Bros.
So, Sanders won New Hampshire. Oh
yeah, smell that scent of victory, but like I told Clinton supporters
last week, don't get cocky kid. It was more bloodbath than victory,
but now the fight is going to turn vicious, and it is going to be an
uphill struggle. No need to beat around the bush, ladies and
gentlemen, this is going to get a lot worse before it gets marginally
better. I would hope Sanders holds on until the convention, and I
really think he can if we all get out and vote. We cannot leave it
to others, this is a statement we must all make.

A Sanders loss is really a Sanders Win
So the Iowa caucus is behind us now.
Most people have given their views on it, but here is my prospective
on the affair.

Just Say No.
It was once stated somewhere in this
blog that if you are voting on a candidate based solely on gender
that you are doing it wrong. I doubt any of the authors around these
parts will say that it has not been well passed the time for the
fairer sex to occupy the Oval Office. The truth is, we should have
had a Madam President more than twenty years ago. But that has yet
to be, and nothing we say or do will change the fact that we have
never officially had a Madam President. Sorry Ms. Roosevelt, you
might have been in charge when your husband was too ill, but it was
never official, and only came to light in the years well passed his
death.

Sanders and your Rights
I have heard it said that we the people
are entitled to specific rights and privileges. I have also heard it
said that we reside in the wealthiest nation in the world. I was
also paying attention to when the good Reverend Wright said “God
damn America.” I say all three of these statements are the truth,
and we are a piss poor nation. We cannot get over ourselves, we
cannot step back from any potential problems and see what is best for
business, not just what is best for us personally.

Work smarter. not harder...
I am still alive, just sitting here
getting odds and ends worked out. It will be at least a month before
I have internet at the house, and shortly after that I will likely be
moving again. Just depends on what happens. Anyway, a while back I
heard Mike Rowe talking (again) about people telling their kids to
“Work smarter not harder,” and how that is what ails America
today. The problem is, he is using the comment out of context.
